Halflings
Since the unification of the Kingdom, Halflings have called Novaria the land of opportunity. Of the three main branches of Halflings, only the Hairfoot and Tallfellow have a sizeable population in Novaria, while most of their Stout brethren remained in the Hinlands.

Description
Tallfellow Halflings wear their hair long and is various shades of blonde and brown. They usually have eyes of green or brown. As their name suggests, they tend to be taller (as well as thinner) on the average than the more common Hairfoot Halflings.
Origins
Not content within the boundaries of the Hinlands, the Tallfellow Halflings roam the lands of Novaria from their wagons, plying their trades wherever they may go.
Views
Tallfellow enjoy the company of Elves and when setting up encampments for any length of time, will set them up near to Elven settlements. Tallfellow Halflings often enjoy special privileges not accorded to members of other races among the reclusive Sylvan Elves and the xenophobic
Grugach. Tallfellows generally view all humans equally, as trade partners or "marks". They do find a particular hospitality among the Clasbron and thus are more inclined to spend more time amongst them than other human
cultures. Tallfellows rarely have contact with the Dwarves, finding the passes to Dwarven mountain homes much to difficult to trek in their wagon caravans. Tallfellow also prefer to spend as little time as possible in the presence of humanoids, having learned that a humanoid warband can make short work of a Tallfellow caravan.
Culture
Tallfellow Halflings roam the countryside in carts and wagons, surviving on what they can make by entertaining or by other, subtler means. A Tallfellow caravan is generally governed by one of the eldest Halflings in the caravan as Matron or Patron and is voted on by the adults of the caravan from a list of nominees.
Tallfellow culture accords equal status to both males and females, with just as many females in positions of power as there are males. Tallfellow children tend to be raised more by the community than by their parents, though the parents are ultimately responsible for discipline and
shelter. Tallfellow Halflings marry for life, usually to a partner of their own choosing though arranged marriages are not unknown among the Tallfellow elite.
The Halfling goddess Yondalla is the primary deity of the Tallfellow and most Tallfellow clans count at least one of her clerics among them. Clerics' wagons also double as shrines to Yondalla. The Halfling deity, Brandobaris, also has a significant following among the
Tallfellow. Tallfellow also worship the lesser deities of the Halfling pantheon, though they rarely keep wagon-shrines. Instead, Tallfellow Halflings will visit shrines and temples built by the Hairfoot or Stout should the need
arise. Many Tallfellow also revere the Danaan goddess of horses, Epona, and her clerics will serve in human institutions or travel among the Tallfellow caravans.
