Humanoids

Since Tiel's rebellion, an influx of humanoids has come within Novaria's borders seeking hire as mercenaries and regulars in special military units.  The majority of these humanoids delight in imposing their authority on the masses, while others just enjoy spreading general mayhem.  A select few of these monsters have left the path of evil and fight against the evil caused by others of their kind.  Though they may hold respectable positions in society, humanoids are still seen by the general populace as a blight on the kingdom.

The base and fecund orcs have a tenacity to mate with any female they can find.  Though most crossbreeds are unproductive, they do seem to be capable of interchanging genetics with humans; the results of these unions being half-orcs.  Ondonti half-orcs, though quite rare, do happen on occasion as well.  Despite the fact that half-orcs are descended from different human cultures, they generally have the same stature, build and lifespan.  Half-Orcs share traits from both their Orcish parent and their human parent.

Description
Half-Orcs vary widely in appearance with some appearing very nearly Orc and some with almost no trace of their Orcish ancestry.  Though most half-orcs have dark brown to black hair, lighter strains are not uncommon among Futhark and Clasbron half-orcs.  Skin pigment can vary from the pale pink of the Futhark to the Orcish grayish-green.  Eye colors can be just as varied, though nearly all half-orcs show a trace of red in their pupils.  Their height and girth are generally somewhere between that of their ancestors.

Origin
Half-Orcs are the crossbreeds between Orcs and Humans.  Since the rebellion of Tiel, Half-Orcs have become increasingly common, due to humanoid commanders allowing their troops free reign while not on duty.  Most half-orcs are conceived through violent means.  The blessed half-ondonti child, though they may face ridicule by society at large, is generally the result of a loving relationship.

Views

Half-orcs tend to be bitter about the world they are brought into.  They are never fully accepted by either society they are raised in and many live in confusion as to what their true nature should be.  They tend to treat others as they have been treated themselves and often live solitary lives, wary of anyone who may attempt to befriend the half-orc.  The half-ondonti may face many of the same problems the half-orc does outside of their Ondonti community.  Within the community, the half-blood child is treated as the Ondonti treats all their children.  Beyond the protective bounds of the community, however, the half-ondonti may be taken aback and confused by the hostility given him by the other races.  In such a case, the half-ondonti turns himself inward and hides himself as much as possible from the outside world.

Culture

The sort of culture a half-orc has is determined by the society they grew up in, whether it be among their Human or their Orcish ancestor’s people.

Most Half-Orcs have human mothers, and are sometimes raised wholly by human families and the treatment of such child is as varied as the range of human emotion.  The rare Half-Orc with an Orcish mother is raised in an environment of abuse and neglect.  Unfortunately, many Half-Orc children are abandoned and die in the wilderness; the lucky ones adopted by something-or-other.   Most half-ondonti are born into willful families who raise the child with love and care.  The near non-existent half-ondonti that is conceived violently (father was an unscrupulous human soldier perhaps) will still be adopted by the community at large raised as one of its own.
