Those who worship Bragi are consistently honing their skills not only in poetry but how eloquently they speak in general. They are taught that words can be just as effective in the course of subduing an enemy as a sword can. They are expected to greet people warmly, to speak highly of upright nobles and to speak courageously against those nobles who commit atrocities.
Clerics of Bragi fill their churches with music and deliver their sermons in poetic verse. Bragi's clerics are active in instructing others in the art of poetry. Many are skilled with the harp to accompany their poetic discourses and their station is marked by the wearing of a red cape and cap. They were crimson red cassocks and most never cut their beard in imitation of their deity. Their congregations are well known for their choirs and a good-natured, formal debate is one of the seasonal events sponsored by the local church. |
