Frigga is the matron goddess of the Asgardian pantheon and the wife of Odin.  When Frigga extracts a promise from an individual, it cannot be broken.  It is in Frigga’s name that couples are married and oaths are made.

Dogma

Frigga’s followers are encouraged not to see the woman’s domestic role as one subservient to her husband, but one where the woman is the authority in her domestic realm.  They claim that to give oneself in marriage is the highest form of affection that can be given.  The breaking of an oath is a cardinal sin to those who esteem the teachings of Frigga.  Frigga’s devotees are encouraged to be aware of signs and omens, yet to make the best of what the Norns have woven.

Clergy

Frigga’s clerics often focus their whole career on matchmaking and marriage counseling.  Many also serve as midwives for their congregation and perform naming rituals on newborns.  Her clerics also make a habit out of making divinations and often their sermons will focus on these divinations as warnings to the community.  Like Odin’s clerics, Frigga’s clerics work side by side with the community.  Their sky blue gowns often distinguish them as they go about working intimately with the populace.  Frigga’s monasteries often take in widowed mothers and her monks learn the soft forms of martial arts.  Frigga’s paladins are often called upon to ensure that treaties are kept among nobles and to strong arm would be oath breakers into keeping their side of the bargain.
