Njord is the master of wind and sea; the god of commerce and trade.
He is a Vanir deity as are his son and daughter, Frey and Freya. Njord is a friend to merchant and fisherman who stay within sight of land, the waters beyond that belong to Aegir.
Dogma
Those
who follow closely the lessons of Njord promote economic growth with honest trade. They are encouraged to give active support to merchants,
shipbuilders and fishermen. They should never haggle for anything less
than it's fair value.
Clergy
Njord's
clerics are usually assigned to work in churches found along major waterways and
trade routes. They will often assist those looking to start a new business
with money from the church coffers. Church dinners are held on the last
day of the week consisting of the fish that are given to the church.
