Odin, the father of the Asgardian pantheon, is at one time a warrior, a poet and a wielder of mighty magic.  Odin is a friend to mankind and frequently walks among them in disguise

Dogma

Those among the Futhark who have chosen Odin as their patron deity make a point of seeking knowledge and improving their insight.  They are expected to go through rigorous tasks and make great sacrifices to gain understanding and information.  They are expected to be honest and not break oaths unless the other party has failed their part of the bargain.  To followers of Odin, literature is sacred and many seek to preserve the written word in personal or private libraries.  Magic is a reward for those who have studied hard and devoted all their efforts to discovering its secrets.

Clergy

Odin’s clergy are extremely helpful within the community.  They don’t view themselves as being above the common folk and frequently serve as representatives for their congregations to the nobility.  They are patrons of poets and active proponents of literacy.  In communities with pastors who serve Odin, literacy rates are higher than average and some are even at 100%.  They also facilitate magical study and often allow their church libraries to be used for magical research.  Clerics of Odin wear long sapphire blue cassocks, wide brimmed hats and often have a patch over their left-eye.
