Danu, the primary progenitor of the Danaan pantheon, is concerned only for the well of her people. She is a war goddess, goddess of agriculture and a goddess of rivers, whose waters are essential to life.
Dogma
Danu’s
teachings are very focused on the community and the Clasbron people as a whole.
Worshippers of Danu are encouraged to take up arms against those that
threaten the people, but are discouraged from aggression unless survival is at stake.
Danu also teaches her
worshippers to honor the rivers and streams and to prevent them from becoming
polluted and unusable. She expects her worshippers to work hard in the fields so
that the harvest is large enough to sustain the community.
Clergy
Danu’s clerics concern themselves with the protection of Clasbron lands and their
flowing robes of gold and green are often seen accompanying Clasbron troops into war. Her clerics also serve as matriarchal figures and counsel through their trials. They collect a tithe of
the first fruits of the fields and store in case of famine or draught.
Druids in Danu’s service view nature as the great mother.
They rarely buy or sell, taking what they need from nature’s bounty.
Druids devoted to Danu always establish sanctuaries near rivers. These sanctuaries are usually distinguished by the growth of tall grains
or other fruit-bearing flora. Druids
of Danu baptize children in rivers as a public announcement of their faith.
