Epona is a tomboyish goddess who watches over horses as well as those who raise and ride them.  She is free-spirited, proud and can be a bit brash at times.

Dogma

Epona’s worshippers are taught to imitate the ways of the horse.  They are expected to resist being held captive by society's expectations and not give their loyalty to anyone unless they prove themselves.  Epona instructs those who honor her to perform random acts of kindness and to carry the burdens of others when they can.

Clergy

Epona’s clerics watch over horse herds and often join cavalry or scout raids.  Their robes of silver and green can also be seen helping people with chores or other labors.  In the church, they will often do things against their superior’s wishes if they believe it is the right thing to do.  Epona’s clerics are expected to know how to ride; if they do not they are committing a major transgression.  

Druids devoted to Epona ensure herds are plentiful and that people appreciate the gift of the horse.  They make their sanctuaries near commonly used watering holes.  These watering holes are surrounded by fields of clover and other vegetation that horses are fond of eating.  Druids of Epona rarely stay in one place very long and will sometimes “move” their sanctuary as they travel with the herds.
