The
Morrigan is a capricious goddess of war. She
seeks only the bloodshed of her enemies and to do battle.
Dogma
The
tenets of the Morrigan’s faith are simple: kill your enemy. Followers of the Morrigan are anxious for battle and despise diplomacy.
The Morrigan teaches her worshippers to do anything they can to achieve
victory on the battle field; lying, cheating and sabotage are all valid ways of
tipping the scales in ones favor. Retreat
is the coward’s way and is considered a major transgression.
Clergy
The
Morrigan’s Clerics are often at the forefront of battle, choosing the slain as
it were. They also administer last
rites to those who have fallen on the battlefield. All Clerics of the Morrigan (even those of Good alignment) channel
negative energy and never administer healing to anyone. They believe it is
counterproductive to have fallen warrior’s rejoin the battle. The robes of black and red worn by her Clerics have earned them the
moniker “Battle Ravens”. Further adding to their fearsome
appearance, they carry with them specially prepared severed heads as holy
symbols.
The
Morrigan’s Druids promote war as the great cleanser, the bringer of balance
between man and the natural world. They
choose ancient battlegrounds as their sanctuaries and decorate them with the
bones of dead warriors and the severed heads of enemies. The animals living in a diocese ruled by a Druid devoted to the Morrigan
are extremely vicious and territorial.
