Taranis
is the reckless deity of storms and charioteers. He despises authoritarianism and is a defender of the down trodden.
Dogma
Taranis
wants his worshippers to live without fear of oppression. He encourages his followers to actively resist heavy-handed
rulers and to avoid paying taxes. If
necessary, his followers are to rise up an insurgence to overthrow an oppressive regime. Adherents to the creed of Taranis are also expected to learn some method
of fighting in case an armed revolt arises.
Clergy
Taranis’s
Clerics preach that the storm is coming and that soon the Clasbron people will
throw off the yolk of their Latinian oppressors. They speak loudly and are prone to brawls. They adorn themselves with robes of black and silver. Clerics of Taranis also teach the ancient art of charioteering to people
in their parish.
Taranis’
druids work to either bring about a good crop with steady rains or to destroy
the crops with violent thunder and hail storms. Druids who honor Taranis establish their sanctuaries on wide-open plains. The only distinguishing feature of these sanctuaries is a single large
lodestone located in the center of the sanctuary.
