Artemis is the goddess of hunting and wildlife as well as the moon. He retinue consists of sylvan creatures such a dryads, nymphs and other female woods folk. She generally despises the company of men, with the exception of her brother Apollo. She tends to be a distant deity who interacts little with mortals unless provoked to vengeance.

Dogma
Artemis’ priestesses elevate the woman above all else. They teach the flocks that a woman’s role is to be free of the strictures of the male dominated society. Her worshippers are instructed to respect the woodlands, both as a place of danger and as a place of bounty. They are admonished not to upset the balance of nature by over hunting or careless logging.

Clergy
Artemis’ clergy is exclusively female and they are required to remain chaste. They wear green robes with silver trim, but usually embellish these with skins from animals they have hunted. Her clerics will often act as intermediaries between humans and sylvan folk. They also teach hunting and other outdoor skills to people in the community. Her churches tend to be modest affairs situated in the deep woods. Here they serve as hunting lodges and storehouses for salted meats. In more urban areas, Artemis generally shares church space with Apollo, though these are often small chapels tended by one or two of her clerics. Many Latinian druids worship Artemis, though they are not an official part of her clergy. Because they are not associated with the church itself, male, as well as female, druids may devote themselves to Artemis. Regardless of gender, these druids work closely with Artemis’s clerics to ensure that there will be plenty of game for the next season. These druids make their sanctuaries in the deep forests, often near oak groves or other places were nymphs and dryads may congregate.
