Cronus, the god of
time, is a titan and father of many of the Olympian deities. He castrated his father Ouranos to seize control of the pantheon and was
usurped and imprisoned in Tarterus by his son Zeus. Though a powerful deity, Cronus can wield very little influence from his
prison.
Dogma
The cult of Cronus
teaches its followers that the Olympian deities are usurpers and that Cronus is
the true king of the Olympians. Cronus’
followers also believe that their deity can prevent them from dying by stopping
the ravages of time. His cultists
are encouraged to thwart the actions of any of the Olympian deities and aid in
the release of any of the other Titans.
Clergy
The main goal of
Cronus’ clergy is to free Cronus from his imprisonment. To this end, they actively recruit new members into their cults and send
them on information gathering missions to discover any leads that may bring
about Cronus’ release. Cronus’
clerics do what they can to prevent the death of any of the members of the cult
and many of them seek lichdom in order to continue their search. They also actively confront clerics of the other Olympian deities and
their worshippers. Members of
Cronus’ clergy wear black robes with silver lining.
