Hades is the dour lord of the Underworld that bears his name. Though he takes little joy in ruling his kingdom, he does so obsessively without remorse for those who wish to return from his realm. He is particular about who he allows to leave his realm and those who escape without his permission will incur his eternal wrath. Hades is also known as a god of wealth and secrets, both of which he keeps a jealous eye over.

Dogma
Hades teaches that death is inevitable and should be accepted as an unavoidable event. His most devout adherents embrace death and live as though they are already dead. Hades encourages his followers to hoard their wealth and reveal their secrets only if the price is right.

Clergy
Hades’ clerics are ominous and hard-faced. They wear black robes with hoods made from ram heads. They oversee burial rights ensuring that the entombed will make it across the river Styx and through the gates of Hades smoothly. Undead are anathema to Hades and his clerics are ever vigilant against those who would live beyond their appointed time. Clerics of Hades destroy any undead they encounter if possible, those they can’t they rebuke or turn; to control them would be committing a major transgression. Hades does not allow his clerics to raise or resurrect the dead without first consulting him through auguries. Even if the augury is favorable, the clerics charge outrages sums to perform such a task.  Hades’ churches are located in necropolises outside of Latinian towns. They are dark affairs and often have many stories of catacombs and vaults located underneath the top floors.
