Pan is the minor deity of fields and flocks. He
is often considered the father of all satyrs and is worshipped in small sects by
shepherds and other herdsmen.
Dogma
Pans
followers are primarily expected to take care of fields and flocks and to
respect the wilds of the forest. Beyond
these minor directives, Pan has no other restrictions on his followers for he
teaches that happiness is found in the carefree life. Pan teaches that all nature’s bounty is the free and only when one has
abandoned oneself to the land have they found true freedom.
Clergy
Pan’s
clergy are rustic and lighthearted. They
will often visit local farms, check the livestock for disease and then frolic in
the woods with the local maidens. They
often act as an additional set of eyes and ears for herders, rescuing endangered
or stranded animals and returning them to the fold. They are also frequently relied upon as emissaries between the fey and
the farmers. Pan’s clerics wear
goatskin vests and have pointy beards. Their
hair is usually long and unkempt.
Druids
devoted to Pan are champions of the woodlands and work to ensure that the
animals of the fields and forests are kept safe and healthy. They
tend to wear very little that reveals their station and are often taken for
being a bit crazy.
