Silenus is the
demigod of excess. He can usually
be found in the company of Dionysus riding on the back of a donkey.
Dogma
Followers of Silenus
engage in excesses: drinking, gluttony, licentiousness, and and compulsive spending. They live like they may die tomorrow, which is the credo of their
deity. His followers are encouraged to do whatever pleases them at the moment.
Clergy
Silenus has no
churches or shrines dedicated to him. His
clerics are usually found in the company of clerics of Dionysus encouraging
people to eat, drink and spend more. When people sober up and doubt the wisdom of their previous
actions, it is up to the clerics of Silenus to encourage them to start the cycle
all over again. Silenus’ clerics
often serve in the courts of hedonistic nobles, subsequently bringing their
realm to ruin. The clerics
themselves are always in a drunken stupor and never deliver sermons unless it is
on the vices of sobriety.
