When Latinians wish
for luck to be on their side, they pray to Tyche. She is fickle about whom
she aids as well as those whom she abandons.
Dogma
Tyche’s dogma is
difficult to tack down. Some of her
clerics preach that life is chance and that honoring Tyche is bring them
favorable outcomes. Others believe
that Tyche is a liberator from the Fates, and that those who follower her are
responsible for creating their own destiny. Either way, Tyche does not say if either path is the truth.
Clergy
Tyche’s small
numbers of clerics wear blue tunics when performing clerical duties. They are called upon for counseling when someone wants to increase their
luck, or maybe curse another with bad luck. Her clerics also lead prayers and sacrifices for communities that wish
good luck in some grand endeavor. Though
she has no churches of her own, shrines to her are commonly found within
churches dedicated to Hermes. Other
shrines to Tyche can be found within gambling halls and thieves’ guilds. Tyche’s clerics where robes of blue and silver and have their holy
symbol as an amulet around their neck.
